The online training pages now include highlights of a panel discussion session on the subject of Communicating the Value of Design which featured leading designers, design advisors and a client. The session was recorded as part of the Design Train Online initiative launched by South West Design Forum earlier this year, and funded by the Design Council and the Creative Industries iNet.

Also added to the online training resources is a fascinating keynote by Colin Burns from Elmwood. 
Colin was appointed Director of Elmwood in 2010. He is based in Edinburgh and is a Visiting Professor for both the University of Dundee and Glasgow School or Art. Prior to his appointment at Elmwood, where he is in charge of management of the agency and client responsibilities, he worked for 7 years as an independent creative consultant. He spent much of his career working at IDEO – the international design consultancy, famous for it’s user-centred, interdisciplinary approach. During his 10 years at IDEO he worked in California & Germany, as well as the UK. At IDEO, he held the posts Global Head of Interaction Design and the Head of IDEO London.
