Jonathan Mitchener, Lead Technologist – ICT at the Technology Strategy Board, introduces the official competition briefing brochure for the £4.5m Data Exploration call which opens on 6th January. The competition focuses on innovations in the data exploration techniques of analytics, modelling and visualisation, and a briefing event (to be webcast and stored for replay) will be held in London on 7th January. Two new Technology Strategy Board competitions related to the creative industries will be opening in spring 2014. Location Based Services is a £4m competition to help businesses to engage with their customers in a ‘here and now’ context. Valuing and Pricing Digital Assets will offer £2.5m for “developing ways to agree value and price” in digital transactions. Read more
