APDIG proposes that design is suffering from a PR problem, which leaves it misunderstood and undervalued by government, underused by business, and misrepresented in the media. Read more

Earlier in the year the Technology Strategy Board’s ‘New Designs for a Circular Economy’ funded 40 feasibility studies, undertaken by design and business partnerships, on the product life-cycle system. Building on this momentum, the TSB is investing up to £1.5m to encourage companies to rethink the design of products, components and/or services, with the potential to reduce their environmental impact. Somerset Innovation + Design (formally known as Somerset Design Enterprise Network) invites all creative’s in Somerset to one of our evening socials. So why not enjoy a good pint or ale and chin-wag with us and fellow industry movers and shakers.

There is no format and is a very informal way of sharing knowledge and getting  know a little more about what’s going on in Somerset. There is no fee to come and we mostly meet in pubs and any venue we can get our hands on. We sometimes announce a few interesting facts or opportunities. Read more
